Bridgeway Education extends heartfelt congratulations to Cameron Jeffers on his appointment as African Caribbean Engagement Development Officer with the Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation in England.
This exciting new chapter builds on the foundation laid during Cameron’s transformative years at Sedbergh School, where he completed his Sixth Form. Our founder, Neil Speight, proudly facilitated Cameron’s placement at this prestigious cricketing boarding school, alongside fellow Bermudian players Amari Ebbin and Justin Smith. Neil’s dedication included introducing Cameron to Sedbergh and negotiating a scholarship to make this opportunity accessible for his family.
Cameron’s new role includes leading school delivery programmes, creating local cricket development hubs, and overseeing the Ace Academy Scholarship Programme in the Bristol region. Through this position, Cameron is inspiring the next generation of cricketers, particularly those from African-Caribbean backgrounds, by creating pathways for talent development and broadening access to the sport.
Cameron’s leadership extends beyond his role with the Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation. He is also a junior coach and player at Marshfield Cricket Club, which competes in the West of England Premier League. Additionally, Cameron continues to play for Bailey’s Bay in Bermuda, demonstrating his commitment to personal excellence alongside his dedication to community engagement.
Bridgeway Education celebrates Cameron’s remarkable accomplishments and looks forward to seeing the lasting impact he will make in cricket and beyond. His journey reflects the power of education, determination, and community support in achieving greatness.
To Cameron: congratulations on this well-deserved achievement. Your story continues to inspire us all!
